How Humidity Affects Cutting Success Rates

Unrooted cuttings cannot draw water through their stems - they have no root system yet. They lose moisture through their leaves at the same rate as a rooted plant, which means without high ambient humidity around the foliage, the cutting wilts and dies before roots form.
