Grow Tents

Finding the Right Tent Size

A grow tent does more than block light, the reflective lining inside it determines how much of your light fixture's output actually reaches the plant rather than getting absorbed by a dark wall. We stock the HOMEbox range across sizes from a compact 60x60cm right through to a 150x150cm flowering setup, all built with PAR+ lining rather than the standard mylar most budget tents use.

Sizing comes down to two things, your available space and your light. A 120x90cm tent is the most common choice for a 600W HPS or comparable LED, big enough for 2-4 plants without the extra heat and humidity management that comes with a larger room. Smaller 60x60 and 80x80 tents suit propagation or a tighter apartment setup where floor space is genuinely limited.

PAR+ lining specifically matters more in Australian summer than most growers realise, standard silver mylar reflects light in concentrated hotspots and traps infrared heat right where your canopy doesn't need it. The diffuse white lining spreads both light and heat more evenly, which makes a real difference once your reservoir's already fighting 30°C ambient temperatures.

Looking for a Complete Grow Tent Kit

If you'd rather buy everything in one go than piece a setup together tent by tent, light by light, we've put together two complete grow tent kits: an economy HPS-based build and a premium SANlight LED build, both priced out in full with every component included. See our hydroponic kits comparison for the full breakdown, including real Australian pricing for each kit.

Orders over $350 and under 12kg qualify for free standard shipping to VIC, NSW, QLD, SA and ACT. Our compact and single light tents, including the Q120+, Q80+, R120S, and Clonelab V2, comfortably qualify on their own. Larger multi light tents such as the R240, R300+ and Homelab range exceed the weight limit individually, so check the delivery estimate at checkout, and keep an eye out for our tent and light bundle promotions which include free shipping regardless of combined weight.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size grow tent should I get?
Match it to your light and your space, a 120x90cm tent suits most 600W-equivalent setups, smaller tents suit propagation or apartments.

Does tent lining actually make a difference?
Genuinely, yes. PAR+ lining spreads light more evenly across the canopy and runs cooler than standard silver mylar, particularly noticeable during summer.

How tall should my grow tent be?
Tall enough for your plant's mature height plus your light fixture and some hanging clearance, most tents run 180-220cm depending on the model.

Can I run more than one light in a grow tent?
Yes, larger tents like the 240x120cm and above are built for multi-light setups, just make sure your ventilation scales up to match the extra heat.

Do you sell complete grow tent kits, not just the tent?
Yes. Rather than buying a tent and sourcing the rest separately, our hydroponic kits guide lays out two full grow tent kits with tent, light, irrigation, ventilation, and nutrients all included and priced.

Do grow tents qualify for free shipping?
Orders over $350 and under 12kg qualify for free standard shipping to VIC, NSW, QLD, SA and ACT. Our smaller and single light tents, such as the Q120+ and Q80+, typically fall within this weight on their own. Larger multi light tents exceed 12kg individually and will show the applicable freight cost at checkout.
