SANlight ship the EVO fixtures as the light and instructions only. The power cord and dimmer are sold separately in every other market, which catches a lot of people out after they have already paid.

The cord is the 90° angled version rather than the straight one. It costs us a few dollars more, but a straight plug sticking up out of the top of the fixture eats height you do not have in a tent.

You Will Need a Hanging Kit

The EVO has suspension eyelets but no hanging hardware, and SANlight do not include any. This fixture has to hang above the canopy at an adjustable height, so this is not optional, you need some way to suspend it.

We have left it out of the price because most growers already own ratchet hangers from a previous setup, and charging you for a second pair to sit in a drawer is not much of a service. If you do not have any, our Sungrip Hangers are heavy-duty and rated well beyond what this fixture weighs. Add a pair at checkout and you are set.

Worth knowing when you compare prices. A cheaper listing elsewhere is usually the bare fixture, and the cord and dimmer add up quickly once you work out you need them.

Does the EVO 5-120 come with a power cord?

Yes, ours does. SANlight ship the fixture on its own and sell the cord separately, which is how it works through most retailers. We include the angled cord and the M-Dimmer in the price so it arrives ready to run.

Do I need a hanging kit?

Yes. The fixture has suspension eyelets but no hardware, and it needs proper ratchet hangers at an adjustable height above the canopy. We sell them separately rather than build them into the price, since many growers already have a pair.

Why the angled cord rather than the straight one?

A straight plug sits proud of the top of the fixture and costs you headroom, which matters in a 2m tent where every centimetre of hanging height counts. The 90° version runs flat against the housing.

What growing area does the EVO 5-120 cover?

120x120cm. The secondary optics are built for that footprint specifically, which is what separates it from the EVO 5-150 at the same wattage. Coverage is slightly tighter at full flowering intensity than during veg.

How far should I hang it from the canopy?

Most growers run 40 to 60cm above canopy during flowering, raising it for propagation and early veg. Use the included dimmer to reduce intensity for young plants rather than hanging it unnecessarily high.

Does it run hot? Do I need extra cooling?

It produces far less radiant heat than an equivalent HPS, and the passive heatsink needs no fan. You still need normal tent ventilation for temperature and humidity, but nothing beyond standard airflow.

Can I dim it for seedlings and clones?

Yes, and the M-Dimmer is included. Start around 20 to 30% output for fresh clones and bring it up as they establish. Full intensity on unrooted cuttings causes more problems than it solves.

What is the warranty in Australia?
