The NEF Tub Lid is a white plastic lid designed to fit the full range of NEF solid and grated tubs including the 23L, 45L, and 65L sizes. It keeps your nutrient solution covered between feeds, preventing evaporation, light penetration, and airborne contamination that can introduce unwanted biology into your reservoir. If you are running NEF tubs as mixing containers, propagation chambers, or nutrient reservoirs, the lid completes the system.

Why Cover Your Reservoir

An uncovered reservoir in a grow room or tent loses water through evaporation, which raises EC as the volume drops without a corresponding reduction in dissolved nutrients. Light penetration into any nutrient solution encourages algae growth, which competes with beneficial biology, clogs pumps and emitters, and throws off pH and EC readings. Does this lid fit both the solid and grated NEF tubs? The lid fits the outer rim of both the NEF Solid 45L and NEF Grated 45L tubs. When the grated insert is inside the solid tub, the lid sits on top of the outer tub.

Can I cut holes in the lid for net pots or fittings? Yes. The white plastic is easy to cut with a hole saw or sharp knife to accommodate net pots, air stone tubing, or pump outlets for DWC and recirculating setups.

Does the lid come in black? JB only stocks this lid in white. The white colour is not ideal for light blocking but is adequate for most closed grow room applications where ambient light levels are controlled.
