Nitrogen drives the leaf and stem growth a plant needs to build a functional canopy, but on its own it does not hold that structure together. Calcium is what actually strengthens developing cell walls as new growth forms, and magnesium sits at the centre of every chlorophyll molecule the plant produces to photosynthesise. PCS Grow A&B supplies all three from day one, Grow A carrying the nitrogen, Grow B carrying the calcium, potassium and magnesium.

That combination matters most in the situations where calcium and magnesium tend to fall short first, RO water, naturally soft tap water, or coco coir, where a plant fed on nitrogen alone can push out fast leaf growth that is structurally weak or pale at the margins before a deficiency is even obvious. Running Grow A&B together from week one means that structural and photosynthetic support is already in the feed rather than something added later once a symptom has appeared, which shows up as sturdier stems and more even leaf colour carrying through into flower.

How to Use

Add Grow A to your reservoir water first and mix thoroughly, then add Grow B and mix again. Keeping the two apart until they are diluted stops the calcium and phosphate compounds reacting before they have had a chance to dissolve properly. Check pH once both parts are in, since adding two concentrates will move the reading and it is rarely correct straight off the bat.

The feed guide runs 3.5ml per litre through weeks 1 to 3, then 4ml per litre from week 4 to week 6. Treat that top dose as a ceiling to build toward across the grow rather than a fixed starting dose, since how much a plant can actually use depends on how dialled in your environment is and the cultivar you're running, both of which shift through the different stages of veg. Start lower and work up as your root health and conditions prove stable. Flush with pH 6.0 adjusted water weekly from week 2 onward to stop residual salts building up between changes.

Do I mix Grow A and Grow B together, or one at a time?
