Hydroponic Grommets | 8mm, 13mm, 19mm & 25mm Airline Seal Fittings (Sold Individually)
Running an airline through the wall of a hydroponic reservoir without a grommet is a leak waiting to happen. The hole edges cut into the tubing over time, the seal degrades, and nutrient solution finds its way out. Hydroponic grommets solve this with a simple, permanent fix. Press one into a drilled hole, push your airline or tubing through the centre, and the flexible rubber compresses around it to form a watertight, airtight seal that holds for the life of your system.
Available in 8mm, 13mm, 19mm, and 25mm sizes and sold individually so you only buy what you need, these grommets cover every common airline and tubing size used in hydroponic aeration and irrigation setups. The 8mm is ideal for standard airline tubing running to air stones and diffusers. The 13mm and 19mm suit irrigation tubing pass-throughs and manifold connections. The 25mm handles larger supply lines and high-flow connections in commercial or multi-plant systems.
How It Works
Drill a hole in your tank, reservoir, or system wall to match the grommet's outer diameter. Press the grommet firmly into the hole. The flexible rubber body deforms slightly under pressure to grip the container wall and create a tight seal. Push your airline or tubing through the grommet's internal channel. The elastic compression of the rubber grips the tubing securely, preventing pull-out and forming a watertight seal around the penetration point. No adhesive, no clamps, no tools required beyond a drill.
Key Benefits
- Four sizes covering all common airline and tubing diameters. 8mm for standard airline, 13mm and 19mm for irrigation tubing, and 25mm for larger supply lines and high-flow connections.
- Sold individually for flexible purchasing. Buy exactly the sizes and quantities you need without paying for a pack of sizes you won't use.
- Creates watertight and airtight seals. Flexible rubber compression seals around both the container wall and the tubing, preventing leaks and air loss at penetration points.
- Protects tubing from sharp hole edges. The smooth internal channel prevents the container wall from cutting into or abrading airline and irrigation tubing over time.
- Easy press-fit installation. No adhesive or specialist tools required. Installs in seconds with a correctly sized drill hole.
- Suitable for tanks, reservoirs, and system walls. Compatible with any container material that can be drilled, including plastic reservoirs, grow trays, and storage tanks.
- Durable rubber/EPDM construction. Resistant to nutrient solution, moisture, and the temperature variation of indoor grow environments.
Variant Guide
- 8mm Grommet. Standard size for airline tubing used with air pumps and air stones in DWC and aeration systems.
- 13mm Top Hat Grommet. Top hat profile provides additional sealing surface against the container wall. Suits 13mm irrigation tubing pass-throughs.
- 19mm Antelco Grommet. Antelco-compatible design for 19mm tubing connections and manifold fittings.
- 25mm Grommet. Large diameter for high-flow supply lines and 25mm irrigation tubing connections.

Frequently Bought Together
Grommets are most commonly used when installing aeration lines into hydroponic reservoirs. The RESUN 12 Outlet Air Pump and RESUN 6 Outlet Air Pump both require airline tubing to be routed into your reservoir, making an 8mm grommet the ideal companion for a clean, leak-free installation. For larger tubing pass-throughs, pair with Hydroponic Tub Outlet Fittings in 13mm, 19mm, or 25mm for a complete sealed connection point, and run your lines using Hydroponic Soft Tube for kink-free, flexible irrigation lines.
