Hydroponic Nutrients

Find the right hydroponic nutrient system for your grow and your experience level. Apex Grow stocks the full range of base nutrients used across Australian indoor setups — from beginner-friendly 1-part systems like Terra Aquatica NovaMax and GT Iconic, through to flexible 3-part programs like Terra Aquatica TriPart and A+B systems from Byron Bay Gold, Dutchfest, and THC Nutrients. Every product in this range provides the complete macro and micronutrient profile plants need to grow in a soil-free system, from seedling through to harvest.

Not sure which system to start with? Our 2-part vs 3-part nutrient guide breaks down the difference simply — 2-part systems suit beginners and anyone who wants a low-maintenance feed, while 3-part systems suit experienced growers who want to adjust ratios across growth stages. If you're comparing Terra Aquatica's two main options, our NovaMax vs TriPart comparison covers the key differences before you commit. For additives, boosters, and supplements to layer on top of your base feed, browse the Hydroponic Additives and Boosters range.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much hydroponic nutrient do I use?
Start at the lower end of the manufacturer's recommended EC range and work up based on plant response. Seedlings and cuttings need low EC around 0.8 to 1.2. Vegetative growth typically runs 1.4 to 2.0. Flowering runs 1.8 to 2.4 depending on the strain and system.

What is the difference between 1-part, 2-part, and 3-part hydroponic nutrients?
1-part systems are one bottle per growth stage — the simplest option. 2-part systems split nutrients into Part A and Part B to prevent chemical reactions in concentrate form, mixed together at feed time. 3-part systems add a third component and let you adjust NPK ratios across growth stages for more precise control.

Do I need to stick to one nutrient brand?
Your base nutrient should come from one brand to avoid incompatibilities. Additives and boosters from other brands can generally be used alongside any base nutrient, as long as you test pH and EC after mixing before feeding.

Do hydroponic nutrients ship fast in Australia?
Yes. All nutrients ship from our Melbourne warehouse with fast tracked delivery Australia-wide. Most east coast orders arrive within 2 to 5 business days.
